well, last Friday night, July 18th, is a day I'll NEVER forget...my friend Lani and I went to see the Craig Ferguson Gala at the Just for Laughs Festival here in Montreal...the man was PHENOMENAL!!!! I laughed myself hoarse...sigh...and who knew he could actually SING??? not me that's for sure.

after the Gala, we went to the backstage door...hoping we could catch a glimpse of Craig...it rained *4* times...massive thundershowers but we had our umbrellas, thank God...after an hour of waiting, we just ready to leave when someone spotted him and he said "I'm gonna see those people"...he had changed from his suit jacket to jeans, leather jacket and white sneakers...as soon as I saw him, I said "nice sneakers, bud!" I got a laugh from him :) he signed my ticket...





he gave it back and I said "thank you...you made my day'...this was my response...




sigh...a dream came true for me Friday night and I can't keep from smiling :D :D :D he didn't have to walk over in the rain but he did...a true gentleman in my eyes...

ok, this was posted in response to the July challenge at the Booth Express...it's the first time I ever let anyone see what I wrote since high school...i.e. 18 years ago :) decided to finally give it a shot...

well, it's officially summer...my hours are not Monday/Wednesday and Friday...it gives me a bit of time to relax and have for myself as opposed to working almost 24/7 *nod*

I'm slowly getting my Christmas trip to the UK settled...I'm actually getting excited now...knowing I have my ticket an all *sigh* just wish both my parents were here so I could actually TELL them about it.

other than that...tings ain't too shabby :)

I just wanted to wish all the fathers out there in Canada and the US a Happy Father's Day!!! I hope you all get treated like royalty :)

It's been a hard day for me. As some of you know, I lost my Dad March 1, 2008; just a little over 3 months ago. He was more than my Dad. I called him when I just wanted someone to talk to. He did whatever he could to help me. Sometimes, I wished I was still back in Newfoundland. I think he knew that when he was gone, I wouldn't be visiting as often as before. I miss him more and more every day...sigh.

So everyone...hug your Dads...call them and talk to them if you're not home...life is too short and before you know it, they'll be gone.

well, got back from TO last night after being gone for a week...sigh...had a BLAST!!! :)

I think out of everything, hugging the Stanley Cup and riding the Maid of the Mist next to Niagra Falls were the BEST!!!!! I almost didn't hug the Cup but my friend said 'are you sure...'? so yea...hugged it!!! hehehe...and was SOAKING WET on the Maid of the Mist...but I had SOOOO much fun that if I end up with a cold, it'll be well worth it *nod* and I know my Daddy was watching me...smiling as I took my hood off and let myself get drenched ;)

not much more I can say except I was in awe...total awe...sigh...

Even though my Mommy is no longer with me, I hope all of my friends have a good Mother's Day with their Moms. Enjoy your time with them. give them an extra hug, and let them know what they mean to you.
